Description

NuGrout Colorant and Sealer has been a favorite of tile and grout restoration professionals for years and now it’s available to you. NuGrout Colorant and Sealer comes in standard colors, most grout manufacturers colors, or any color desired. When dry, NuGrout permanently seals grout to help protect its new brilliance against grime, stains, mold and mildew.

Application Notes

  • NuGrout Colorant and Sealer is part of a system that works together to provide long-lasting, professional-quality results. It is highly recommended that NuGrout Cleaner and Pretreat be used to properly clean and prepare grout surfaces prior to the application of NuGrout Colorant and Sealer.
  • Use of NuGrout Cleaner and Pretreat may not be necessary when using colorant to correct or change the color of a brand new, unsealed grout installation. Test colorant on a small area for proper penetration and adherence prior to use.
  • If using more than 1 bottle of a single color for an application, mix all material together in a larger container prior to use to ensure color is consistent.
  • Sealing of porous tile may be required prior to application to ensure colorant is not absorbed into the tile.
  • For best results, apply in two coats (waiting 2-4 hours drying time between coats).

Drying Time

  • Dries tack-free in 30 min.
  • Recoat after 2-4 hours.
  • Final cure after 24 hours for normal traffic.
  • Final cure after 72 hours for heavy traffic.

Handling and Storage

  • Always follow product safety guidelines during storage and use (reference product SDS for complete details).
  • Close cap on container after each use.
  • Store product in original container only.
  • Product shelf life is 36 months when unopended and stored at room temperature.
  • Use only when surface temperatures are between 50° F – 90° F (10° C – 32° C).

Stain Resistance

When properly applied, NuGrout seals the grout joint to resist the penetration of household stains, dirt and grime. Proper maintenance and sanitation using household cleaners is still necessary. Avoid use of harsh chemicals and acids when cleaning.

Mold and Mildew Resistance

When properly applied, NuGrout inhibits the growth of surface mold and mildew. Proper maintenance and cleaning is still necessary because microbes can grow on other surface substances, such as soap scum, dirt and grime.
